Looking for ancestors of Gordon Howard who settled Donegal, Pennsylvania about 1721. Writings state he came from Londonderry. Were they the Coleraine 1610, Howards from London? I don't know. I will give 4 haplogroups that I have tested for and I am in the new group with one Musgrave and one Musgrove. That new haplogroup is R-BY14603 and from Y 700 testing. Previous haplogroups upstream L1066, R Z2185 and R-L21. My relatves include Campbells,Stuarts, Dalgleis and Musgraves. Oswin Musgrave is an exact match at 37 Markers. He was Quaker from near Belfast 1670.
Edmund, Francis, Thomas and Griffin Howards were Coleraine about 1610, Are you related and maybe me too. Lawrence Howard was Londonderry Hearth Money Roles about 1663. James Howard was from The Bog Side of Londonderry with 1 hearth.
If related to any of these we need to look for a DNA match. Please help with this.

Family Tree DNA reportedly has more people with Ulster roots than any other company. That obviously increases the chances of finding a match. You might want to try them or, if you have already tested, you can transfer your results to them for no fee.
