I am looking for information on James Barry and Joanna Gould. They wend to Marland and then went to Washington DC. He died 1/1808 and she died 1811. I have lots of information. I hope I am able to find some family.

Presumably James and Joanna married in mid-late 1700s. I searched two databases and was unable to locate a James Barry/Joanna Gould church marriage record in that time period. Likely they came from Co. Cork or a nearby county like Co. Kerry.
You may want to consider DNA testing to see if you natches with people who have more info on the origins of your family.

I have done a DNA test. Some of what I have is from family keeping updated. I am trying to find out that Robert
Barry and Mary Connell were his parents. Ok James and Joanna Gould Barry were married in Lispon, Spain 1-24-1782. Do you know about Robert and Mary Connell Barry? Joanna was born in Cork County, Watergrasshill. I am trying to find out James brothers and sisters. James was born in Cork County, Femory. Thanks JulieCjhm8589

Julie:
The records for Fermoy RC parish start in 1827/1828 so know records would be available for the Barry family. Watergrasshill records start in 1836.

Does any Ireland records start in 1700's. The Barry castle is suppose to be part of the family. I have other family that came from Ireland as well. I have French, Fields, Preston. Thanks Julie

Julie:
A few RC parishes in Ireland mainly in the larger cities have records back to the late 1700s. The Cork South parish (St. Finbar's) has records back to the late 1700s. In general, the RC records start in the 1800s. Civil registration started in 1864.
