Daniel was a flax farmer in Donegal, Donegal County I believe he was born in Wigstownshire, Scotland and later moved to Donegal. He emigrated from Ireland to Philadelphia, PA, USA around 1825. His son John McKeague has a Naturalization certificate dated 1838 in Philadelphia.He likely traveled with his father Daniel, although I can't find any documentation to prove this.
The family settled in Weymouth township, New Jersey and purchased land to farm. Family records include Cape May County and later Cumberland County.
He married Mary Black also from Wigstownshire, Scotland.
