Seeking information on Callaghan McCarthy (approx. 1795-1855). Tenant in Ballynamuddagh in Griffith's Valuation. His wife and children immigrated to the US around 1849-1852, but he did not. His father or brother was named Florence, based on Griffith's Valuation neighbor. Other McCarthys on adjacent townlands may be related. His wife Mary appears as Mary Fealy or Mary Pearse in baptismal records for their children... indicating possibly two marriages. Her family may be from Abbelyfeale, Co. Limerick, just across the River Feale. The oldest child Honora was born in 1819 and the youngest Thomas in 1844, with seven others in between. I am also interested in learning of relatives of Callaghan and Mary who remained in Ireland and have living descendants.
