Mary (Huston) Hunter born in the north of Ireland, Co Tyrone. The Hunters were farmers.

Marriage performed by Rev. William McCree [McCrea] in Donagheady parish on 7 Feb 1810. Shortly thereafter John and Mary emigrated to the US and lived in Pennsylvania until their deaths. "Granny" Hunter had a brother named Willie who was a missionary and died young.

"Samuel was the first-born child of John and Mary Huston HUNTER. John and Mary left Ireland about 1810 or 1811 and arrived in Philadelphia, PA where their first born son, Samuel Huston Hunter was born on 4 February 1811. VIEW SOURCE
