William Roach (1801-1839) married Mary Mooney (1802-1886) in Ireland.  They may have emigrated to Newfoundland, but from there they settled in Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada.  William was killed by a falling tree in Targettville, Kent County, New Brunswick.  He fathered 7 children before his death, my GG Grandmother Margaret (Roach/Roche)  Welsh/Walsh was one of them.  Margaret married James Welsh/Walsh (see separate listing on this site) and resided in Bass River, Kent County, New Brunswick.  Their daughter, Annie, was my Great Grandmother married to David Wark Clark, Harcourt, Weldford Parish, Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada.

William Roach, Mary Mooney Roach, Margaret Roach Welsh/Walsh, James Walsh and Annie Walsh Clark were Roman Catholic.  In David and Annie Clark's household, the boys were Protestant like their father and the girls were Roman Catholic like their mother.  Their son, Frederick (Fred) Ellingham Clark(e) was my paternal grandfather.

William's parents may have been Edward Roach 1778-1873 and Patricius Murphy Roach 1777-1847.
