I am looking for Griffins from Ballydavid on the Dingle Peninsula who were tenants of Lord Ventry. The patriach of the Griffins, I think he is John married to Johanna Johnston moved to the village of Lisdorgan sometime around 1800 give or take 20 years. I am looking for the children of John and Johanna.

Mike's Daughter:
The subscription site Roots Ireland has a February 18 1816 marriage of a John Griffin to a woman with the surname Johnson with no given name provided. The RC parish was Ballyferriter which would be the parish for Kilquane civil parish. I looked at the parish register and it clearly shows Joanna Johnson so not sure why Roots Ireland did not capture the given name. It appears from the Latin that John and Joanna were third cousins.
Roots Ireland does not have the baptismal records for Ballyferriter parish but FindMyPast.ie (another subscription site) does. I only located one baptismal record for a Thomas Griffin baptized December 15 1821. Father John mother Joanne Johnson Here is the parish register. https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0652 You may want to search for more records.
I checked the 1827 Tithe listings for Kilquane civil parish and there were four Griffin records including a John Griffin. He was not in Ballydavid but Curragraigue townland.http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?surname=griffin&firstname=&county=Kerry&parish=kilquane&townland=&search=Search
Not sure when John and Joanne moved east to Lisdargan townland but that is a different civil parish (Cloghane) and RC parish Castlegregory is the RC parish. Records for Castlegregory parish start in 1828 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0660
The 1852 Griffiths for Cloghane civil parish does show a John Griffin in Lisdargan townland.

I apologize Roger for not responding sooner. Your information led me to find a John Griffin in North Lisdorgan Cloghane. This is the earlier tithe applotment books from 1826=1827? I am hoping this is my John Griffin my 4th great grandfather. I recognized some of the other names e.g. Hanifin and Moriarty. Thanks again, Kind Regards, Peggie
