Looking for the location of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Newtownbutler Fermanagh. My Great grandfather was buried there and I hope to be able to visit Ireland later in the year and find his grave. Also would like to visit Gubb and Doohat my Grandfather lived in house 4 Gubb in 1911 and was living in Gubb Island (same) in 1901 I believe my great Grandmother and her father both came from Doohat. I think I am right in saying both places are in Galoon. I would also like to visit Cavan while we are there, any recommendations on the best place to spend our visit to be able to take a journey around the above places it would be so lovely to walk on the same land they walked upon.

Some ideas when visiting Cavan: --Go to Drumlane Abbey and Cemetery. --Take a walk in Killykeen Forest Park. --Hawthorn Lodge in Milltown, Belturbet. Enjoy!

Crom Castle estate is very near to Gubb (just a few hundred yards away as the crow flies) and would have been well known to your ancestors. It has walks and various attractions, and is often used by film companies. There’s a café and boat trips on the lough. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/northern-ireland/crom
