Cornelius "curly" Burke born 1801 Capeclear Ireland. Had 5 sons John, Donal, Michael, Denis, Cornelius, and 1 daughter Mary with Johanna Mahoney born 1802. His wife died and in 1848 his 5 sons immigrated to the u.s. He married his 2nd wife Mary Daly and had 3 children Patrick, Julia and Margaret. The family resided in Ballyieragh. It is believed that he are buried in the old cemetery which adjoins the ruins of church of st ciaran.
