Hello,

According to John MgGregor's baptismal record on Roots of Ireland (February 12th 1865 in Kildorrery - parents John McGregor and Margaret Collopy) he married Honora Norris on February 13th 1910. Unfortunately it doesn't name  where the marriage took place. However, searches of FindMyPast, Ancestry, Roots and irishgenealogy.ie have yielded no record at all. Nor can I find a record in the 1911 census.

Is there somewhere else I can look that might fill i this gap for me?

Thank you,

Margaret

  • Hi Margaret,

That marriage on the 13th February 1910 of Hannora Norris, is listed in IG site s Hannah Norris to Edmund McDonald.

In the 1911 Census there is one couple but it says married 15 years, it should be 15 months. Or maybe it felt like 15 years!

  • Hi, I would look at the original register page for John's baptism.  RootsIreland's transcriber put the "married Hannah" notice with the transcription for John. But perhaps it was meant for someone else on the page. Perhaps he didn't marry Hannah at all.  I hope this helps.
