  • Recently I found a parish record for Patrick O'Leary's parent's marriage: Denis Leary married Ellen Hallahane on 16 February 1858 (Area - Cork & Ross, Parish - Murragh & Templemartin).

I've also found a baptism record for his sister Johanna Leary. Her baptism was in Scrahan on 9 March 1861 (Area - Cork & Ross, Parish - Murragh & Templemartin). The baptism sponsors were Daniel Leary and Catherine Halihane (presumably a variant spelling of Hallahane/Hallihane).

I have no Irish records for Patrick who married and died in Queensland, Australia. I have his Australian marriage and death certificates.

I've not yet found a burial record for either of his parents or evidence of other siblings.

  • Would like to know where his point of emigration/embarkation was. Perhaps Cobh (Queenstown)?
