I attach a copy of the townland of Ballymalone and also Griffith's land record which was printed in 1855.

Number 19 on the page has James Minogue, Roger Minogue and Edmond Kenna farming c52 acres of land in common. The family home may be at a different location in the townland.

Edmond Kenna died in Ballymalone in 1877 and another Edmond died there in 1892. Possible father and son? I have not found the marriage record for Edmond No. 2 and there is no record of any Kenna/McKenna in Ballymalone in the 1901 Irish census.

 I have only recently seen your post about your trip to Ireland and so sorry to have missed the opportunity of meeting you. If you are interested I have information on the Kenna family - in particular those that remained in Ireland. Edmond and Judith/Johanna Kenna were my late husbands great, great, grandparents.

Hi - I am coming to Ireland in September for a wedding and started digging in to my Irish heritage to see what I could find out. My Dad has shared some information with me about his great Grandfather (my great great) Cornelius Kenna (brother of Patrick) who was born in 1844 in Scariff, County Clare Ireland and died in Australia in 1921 (where i'm from).

He was the sixth of eight children born to Edmund Kenna and Johanna Mulready.

I would love to find out any information I could about the family and perhaps come and visit when i'm over in September. I've shared some of the info I have and what I believe to be our family crest. Any information that you might have or things you could share would be amazing.

Hi Justin, As per thread to Therese, our connection with  Edmond and Judith/Joanna Mulready/ Kenna is through my late husbands side of the family hence our daughters would be your distant cousins. Michael Kenna, brother of Cornelius, would be my daughters great, great grandfather. He was the 2nd son to be given the name Michael. I have a lot of information on the Kenna Family. I believe Michael and his sister Catherine were the only one's to have stayed in Ireland. Catherine died shortly after the birth of her first child, Patrick. I have not been able to trace Patrick. I would love to exchange any information you might have on the Kenna family. Hishon

ps I believe I have located the baptism record of Cornelius in the transcriptions of the original church records.

Hishon, the Kenna book only contains information about the 3 Kenna's who immigrated to Australia. (Patrick, Cornelius and Margaret). Michael was mentioned as a brother who was born in 1835. Other than that. there is no more information. I cannot find anything on Michael on Ancestry.com. I would love any information on Michael that I could pass on the Kenna's here.
