Samuel came to Canada with a brother, and they resided with their Uncle Samuel once here in Peterborough, Ontario. Samuel was called Stan (his middle name) to avoid confusion with the Uncle. I have no knowledge of his life in Ireland, only that he was born to John Edward Dancey and Margaret Phoebe Caffrey. I am searching for his grandparents in Ireland , as we can get no further back after John Edward. John Edward was born in 1803 possibly in County Monaghan. Margaret was born May of 1807 in Bailieborough Co Cavan. John died in Rakeevan, Bailieborough , Co Cavan in March of 1849. Any information that can be gleaned in Ireland about this family, my family, I would be most appreciative.
