Visitors from the UK tracing their ancestors in Bohillane, near Cloyne, Co. Cork.

IrelandXO volunteers Kevin Terry and Phil Irwin met Richard Symons and his family, who are from the UK, for coffee at Carewswood Garden Centre.
Richard’s ancestors had farmed land at Bohillane, near Cloyne. After coffee, they travelled to Bohillane, where they met an elderly gentleman who had knowledge of the area, and to the church parish office in Ladysbridge, which, unfortunately, was closed. They then visited Bohillane and Ightermurragh cemeteries where some of their Leahy ancestors were buried. Richard and his family went away happy that they had visited the area of their ancestors.
