Born in Inisclin Townland. Married William Matthew Shaw from Pettigoe on 6 June 1878. Emmigrated to New Zealand arriving January 1879. Settled in Cambridge then bought a farm on the edge of Te Awamutu. Raised 10 children to adulthood.
