I have found a death record for Michael Keating. The age and name are about right for the man I am researching.

BUT the death location is impossible to understand - it looks like Curraghbelia in Thurles. See attached.

I can find no such place or even townland with a like sounding name.

Any suggestions please?

  • I think it is Currabaha, just using the full Curragh (baha), as you can see from the map, there are many places called Curragh in this region.
