The Museum of Country Life (on the grounds of Turlough Park House a historic home dating to 1865) is the only National Museum outside of Dublin and a must-see heritage experience for visitors touring the western region.

It exhibits the way of life of rural Irish people between 1850 and 1950  There are displays about the home, the natural environment, trades and crafts, communities, and working on the land and water. A must-see for anyone whose ancestors came from the Wild Atlantic Way.
