My gggrandmother was ANN LANGAN b about 1832 in Kildare, Ireland

From marriage extract: 

Married May 3rd, 1857 Liverpool, England

MICHAEL CLARY married ANN LANGAN

Kildare (in Hibernia) listed as place of birth for both

Fathers listed as THOMAS CLARY, PATRICK LANGAN 

Witnesses listed as Patrick McDonaghue & Elizabeth McDonaghue, both of Liverpool

 

I have a record of a Michael & Ann Cleary arriving August 1857, in Victoria, Australia on the EASTERN CITY which had departed from Liverpool

Their ages were Michael 25 & Ann 22. On the same ship were Laurence Cleary 20 years & John Cleary 26 years - they were all listed as IRISH. Don’t know if they were related.

Elizabeth Cleary (my g’grand-mother) was born Oct 1857 and baptised 10th Nov., 1857 in Coburg, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria.

I have a an extract of entry for birth of Thomas Cleary 1st March, 1861, New Town, Beechworth, Victoria. Father listed as Michael Cleary, labourer, 28 years, born Kildare, Ireland

Married Liverpool 1857 to Ann Langan- age 28 years, born Kildare, Ireland

Children's names:

Elizabeth, Bridget, Mary Ann, Thomas, James, William, James, Frank, Amy, John Joseph, Ada Majella

Ann Cleary died 19th Feb.,1889 in Echuca, Victoria and buried there 21st Feb., 1889. I have copies of two Funeral notices- neither of them mention Michael, her husband. On Ann (Langan) Cleary’s Death Certificate her son Frank signed the document, listed as living at Nish Street, Echuca, where Ann was buried from. Listed as 57 years old, born in Co Kildare. 32 years living in Victoria., married to Michael Cleary.
