Benjamin Murphy was born 5 Sep 1865 in Glounalongha, County Cork to Michael Murphy and Margaret O'Connell. His older sibling and most of his younger siblings were born in the townland of Reanagashel, Barony of Dunhallow, Parish of Kilmeen, Electoral Div. of Meens, Sub-district of Clashykinleen. Not sure if these boundries still apply but they are noted on the 1901 census. When he was born in the townland of Glounalongha I found a Philip O'Connell listed there. I'm guessing that Philip is either Margaret's father or brother. I have no way to verify this information. Benjamin Murphy arrived at the Port of Philadelphia on 25 April 1888 on the Lord Clive. His wife Margaret Morrissey was on the same ship and they married 2 year later in Philadelphia.
