Bernard Sweeney was my second great grandfather and he was married to Catherine (Kate) Connell on the 23 November 1871 at Ballingarry In Tipperary. Bernard was born in Thurles and baptised on 3rd February 1850. They had five children Mary Sweeney (born 3 Jan 1873 Templetouhy parish) Johanna Sweeney (born 31 Jan 1875 Ballingarry) Anastasia (Born in Moyne) Anne Sweeney (Born in Moyne) and Edward Sweeney (born 2 August 1877 in Moyne)
Bernard was the postmaster, possibly in Moyne, whilst prior to her marriage Kate was a farmers daughter.
Bernard and Kate Sweeney moved to Kirkdale in Liverpool sometime prior to the 1901 census.
