George Welsh aka Walsh/ Walshe/ Welch of Lurgan, Glenboy died in Manorhamilton Workhouse during the Great Irish Famine, age 44.

  • Their brother John Welsh was living in Carrickleitrim at this time.

  • In 1834, George & James Walsh appear on Tithe Records for Tullteenrevagh with 7 Irish acres each (about 23 statute acres in total)

Age 21, George Welsh married Margaret Thompson on 30-Oct-1823 in CLOONCLARE CHURCH OF IRELAND and lived at a number of addresses around Manorhamilton (suggesting he was a cottager with no rights of tenure).
