Bridget E. Feeney was born in Sligo, County Sligo in 1864 to Peter Feeney, age 24 and Mary McGowan, age 24. After emigrating to New York, she married Patrick J. Higgins in Essex County, New Jersey on 22 April 1883. Partrick served as the Chief of Police in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, They had four sons Thomas, William, Frank and John. She died in Essex County, New Jersey on 23 Mar 1918.
