First Child | Suspect Caesar but have no details, only a reference to him.
Names of Children | That are known to me: John Fanning 1789 - 18/03/1873 - born and died in cork, County cork. William Fanning 1785 - 1859 - born Cork, County Cork, died Kensington, Middlesex, England. There are 2 more that were buried in the same grave in St Finbarr’s Cemetery namely Charles Fanning 1792 - 08/04/1874 - married but no details and Harriet Fanning 1796 - 03/04/1861 single - no details except a reference to a Harriet Fanning running a haberdashery business with a Charlott(e) Fanning of which there is no other reference I have also found a reference to a Catherine Fanning who died on 6/06/1883?who died at her father’s house, St Patrick St, Cork, is that the same as Patrick St because there is reference to John and Caesar Fanning living and working (as paper Stainers) as another daughter of Caesar who was living with 2 of her brothers but no other references. Perhaps she could be a daughter of son Caesar?
Occupation | Paper Stamper/Stainer and hanger - forerunner of wallpapering as we know it today |
