Catharine was baptized on 29 Dec 1866 at Castleconnor, Sligo Ireland. Diocese Killala. Her parents are John Jordan and Anne Dixon were also married at this parish on 9 May, 1855. The family emigrated to the United States around 1867.
Catharine married Patrick H. Strain who was also Irish at Saint John the Baptist Church on 23, April 1889 in Philadelphia (Manayunk), Pennsylvania PA United States 19127.. Catharine and Patrick had ten children and remained in the area that they both settled in Manayunk, Philadelphia which at that time was yarn mill town that had many immigrants. Catharine died on 21 Nov 1931 in Philadelphia, PA
Catharine is my paternal Great Grandmother. Her son is Bernard Aloysius Strain , my grandfather.
