Catherine Boyle was transported to Australia in 1833 on board "Caroline" after being tried in the Antrim Assizes on 11 April 1832. She was sentenced to 7 years transportation for her second stealing offence. Catherine's older brother Edward had been transported to Australia for life in 1831 on board "Bussorah Merchant" for burglary.

Catherine was transferred from "Caroline"to the Female Factory at Parramatta on 22 August 1833.

Catherine married James Kennedy at St John's Church Parramatta in 1835. They had five daughters and one son.
