Catherine O'Brien left Ireland on the ship "Hotspur" & arrived in Australia 24 February 1861
She was sponsored by her sister (Margaret O'Brien) husband, Richard Stack. Margaret arrived 16/06/1855 on the ship "Golden Era".
Parents were John O'Brien & Bridget O'Neil. In the 1851 Census other children were :- William, Denis, Nicholas.
Catherine married Thomas Campbell Betts 19/12/1864 at a property named "Bungerellengong" on the Lachlan River, New South Wales.
They had six children together. Thomas Campbell Betts died 4/1/1886
Both Catherine & her sister Margaret were on the 1851 census as being at Killally West, Kilworth.
