Catherine Shea was my great grandmother. She was born in Cahirciveen, to Cornelius and Ellen Gleason Shea. She emigrated to the United States in 1859, lived in Baltic Ct. and was married the next year to Patrick Sullivan. Patrick was born in County Kerry Ireland; his parents were Bridget Donohue and Michael Sullivan. He emigrated to the US around 1856-58.
Catherine and Patrick eventually moved to Macomb, Illinois. They had 10 children, one of whom was my grandmother. If any information about either Patrick or Catherine could be found I would be very grateful. While I have a fair amount of information about Catherine, her parents and siblings, I have been able to find nothing about Patrick beyond his parents' names.
