Hello - I am a descendant of Patrick Hugh (known as Hugh) Bloomer who with his wife Winifred Byrne emigrated to Queensland Australia in 1864. Hugh was baptised in Tullyallen, Kileeshill Tyrone in 1838 with his father also named Hugh b 1816 Kileeshill. Patrick Hugh's Death Certificate stated his mother as Margaret Fox though I have been unable to find a marriage certificate for them.  I have record of marriage of Patrick Hugh ad Winifred Byrne.   To my knowledge my Bloomer ancestors were not known as "Gormley" though this may have been the case.

Hello
My family name is Gormley, however this changed to Grimes from about 1830 -1900
I only recently became aware that Bloomer was another variant of the name Gormley and there are a number of marriages in Killeeshil parish where the name is listed Bloomer/Gormley.
I have traced my ancestors back to Roger Gormley who is my GGG Grandfather, living in the townland of Cranlome in Killeeshil parish.
Roger apparently had 7-10 children most of them male, we can definitely account for several including my GG Grandfather Michael who married Rose Laverty in 1827, also Charles who married Bridget McDonnell and had several children baptised in Killeeshil ( I can find no further mention of this family) and Hugh who married Eleanor Quinn 1838 , Hugh lived in Innishmagh Co Tyrone ,
A number of us have taken the DNA Test on "Family tree or Ancestry, this has lead to several links we would not otherwise have found, we are also active in The South Tyrone branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society and the Killeeshil/Clonaneese historical society, if you wish to check these out.
