When Charles RILEY was born on March 15, 1833, in Cavan, Cavan, Ireland, his father, Edward, was 25 and his mother, Catherine, was 11. He married Margaret CRONAN on April 4, 1858, in Taunton, Massachusetts. They had ten children in 18 years. He died on November 11, 1901, in Somerset, Massachusetts, at the age of 68, and was buried there, in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Birth in Cavan is listed on the Naturalization document.
