Born circa 1815 in Co Cork. Emigrated to St John, New Brunswick, Canada in 1842. Joined by wife Julia Sullivan (born circa 1820) and brother in law Timothy Sullivan (born circa 1810) and his wife Eleanor (Ellen).
Daniel and Julia had at least four children in St John - William, Ellen, Michael, Mary. Timothy was godparent to William. A Jeremiah Toomey, originally of Ballincollig, was a godparent to one of their children.
Daniel died in 1855 in St John Almshouse, of pleurisy. He was a labourer. Julia died at some point between 1851-1855. Fate of children unknown, other than William, who was adopted by farming family in Carleton County, NB.
