Daniel was born in Donegal in 1859 or in 1852. His grave says 17 Feb 1859. He died 3 Nov 1922 and was interred on 6 Nov 1922. (Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Chicago).
His parents were Phillip Dougherty and Kate Ryan Boyce. They were listed on the death cert along with his wife, Johanna Kenney. Daniel had 4 brothers, I believe, Denis, Thomas, and John Francis.
He came to America (NY) in 1869, and married my 2nd great-grandmother Johanna E Kenney on 4 Oct 1875 at Old St. John's Parish on 18th St. in Chicago.
They had about 12 children, 3 who died within a year or two of their birth.
Johanna Kenney (Kinney, Kenny) was born in Chicago on 17 Feb 1860. Her parents, John Kenney III and Sarah Carney or Corcoran were from Galway, or possibly Leitrim. Sarah Carney's daughters give Carney or Corcoran as her maiden name. I think her father was Edward Carney, b. in Ireland in about 1810.
