Daniel was baptised in Bruff Limerick on 9th April 1853, the baptismal recotd shows his parents as Willima Leahy & Ellen Mahony,
Daniel had a younger sister Mary who was baptised on 2nd August 1855 in Bruff, Limerick. Danile & Mary both emigrated to Bombay (Mumbai) India and Daniel is recorded as marrying Mary Clarke (born in Bantry in Cork) at Agra in the Bengal Presidency on 15th June 1891.
Daniel was emplyed as the Station Master at BYculla Railway Centre in Bombay and he died on 21st September 1922 and is buried at Sewri Christian Cemetery and his grave is ahred by his wife Mary, his sister Mary and his son William.
Danilels' remaing 2 daughetrs emigrated to Australia in 1938.
