My grandmothers family is from Cahir in Tipperary. Her father was Edmond Crotty(b 1818) left Ireland with several siblings and his Mother Mary(Pendergast, Prendergast) Crotty after the death of his father around 1849. The below information is for Edmond Crotty my Great grandfather. He was also called Ned, which is probably because his father was also Edmond Crotty. There were 12 children and the first to come to Michigan was James Crotty about 1834. In 1837 he returned to Ireland and married and then returned again to Michigan along with his sister Margaret Crotty. I am struggling with where to look and how to find additional information. My granddaughter and I are traveling to Ireland in May of 2020. Any help or direction is appreciated.
