I'm hoping to find information about an ancestor, Edmund David Russell, born to David Russell and Mary O'Dea in 1863 (?).

He was probably born in Limerick and may have moved to Dublin with his parents.  

He came to America as a young man and settled in Iowa.  He married Johanna Wall and became a physician.  They had several children.  He practiced medicine in the Iowa towns of Clare and Fort Dodge for many years.  Late in life he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he died in 1953.  He was Catholic.
