  • I am a descendent of Dominick Lynch and Mary Smyth (born around 1800), who immigrated to the United States in 1839/1840, eventually settling in Pennsylvania, not far from Philadelphia.  My research so far suggests Mary Smyth, as she is noted on US records, was Louisa Mary Smyth who married Dominick Lynch in the Cathedral of Tuam in 1821. She was the daughter of Major Charles Smyth of the Limerick Milita and his wife Margaret Hunt, and sister to Daniel Smyth, Aunt to Edward Burton Smyth.  Would love to connect with fellow members of these families and anyone who might know more about them.  Thanks!
