Migrated to/Born in USA

Eleonor "Ellen Power, my 4th great-grandmother, was born in Waterford City, Waterford in September, 1801 to Andrew Power and Mary Shea. She was baptised in St. John's Parish on September 23, 1801 and then married Joannis T. "John" Magner/Mangner/Magnier on May 7, 1820 also in Waterford. They raised a family in Ireland before following some of their children to America in 1866 and settling near them in Houston County, Minnesota. Ellen Power died on February 6, 1887 and is buried in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetry in Jefferson Township, Houston County, Minnesota, an abandoned cemetery for a church that no longer stands.

I know a fairly great amount about the family after their emigration but not prior to that point. I do know that some earlier iterations of the family preferred to emphasize Ellen's maiden name as "la Poar" or "de Poar", I assume to emphasize a more aristocratic origin; whether this adds credence to the Norman origins of the name or adopts them is not known to me.
