Married to Elias Overle (Oberle) in West Point, Orange County, New York USA in 1847. Not certain of her emigration date to USA. Elias was born in Alsace. Doubt that they knew each other before entry to USA.
Elizabeth McGuire was my 2x's GGrandmother. USA Census records indicate a birth year from 1825 - 1829. Elias and Elizabeth's first born child, George, was born in New York in 1848 and the 1850 USA Census shows them living in Providence Twp, Lucas County, Ohio, USA. They had 11 or 12 chilren.
Elizabeth died, along with their nine year old daughter, Frances, on a trip in Quincy, Ilinois, USA. Her death occurred on 11 July 1874.
Some records indicate County Cork as her birthplace but all records show Ireland as her home. I have no other information to confirm her birth location or her time/point of emigration to the USA.
Point of interest...Providence Twp, Lucas County, Ohio attracted a great number of Irish people to build the canal that was taking shape in Ohio during the mid 19th century. There is still a strong Irish based Catholic Church there that Overle family helped build.
