Elizabeth French and John Doonican (Ó Donnacháin aka Dunican / Duncan / Donakin / Dunnigan/ Donoughan) appear on Croghan (Killucan and Ballinameen) RC parish records in 1816 and 1826 and are believed to have lived just south of Ballinameen village. The Doonicans were of Tartan and the Frenches of Scor More nearby.
