Ellen Barry : Short Biography

My 2nd g-grandmother Ellen Barry was born to father Patrick Barry and (unknown) mother in Wexford in about 1831. She emigrated to the small town of Wortley, South Yorkshire, England, and married Anthony Handlen, also from Ireland, in 1852. She was a mother to twelve children, was a shopkeeper, and worked at the town reading room. She was widowed in 1896 and died in Wortley in 1900.
