Stayed in Ireland

My name is Dennis Morton and I reside in Sydney, Australia. I am the great-great-grandson of Phelix (Felix) Morton (Mortin) whose first records appear from Boyle, County Roscommon. Felix married Mary Morton and had a son Edward Morton born in Roscommon.

Edward born in 1833 joined the Irish Revenue Police in 1852 and in 1850 resigned to emigrate to the State of Victoria, Australia where he worked for the police before emigrating to the Otago, NZ in 1860 to join their fledgling poilce force. He died in Invercargill, NZ in 1891.

Felix Mortin (Death Record-1869-Ireland Civil Registration Indexes 1845-1958; Page: 295; GS Film Number: 101584; Digital Folder Number: 004200216; Image: 00441) death at age 60 years  is recorded as occurring in 1869, Carrickamoss, County Monaghan, Ireland. His wife Mary Morton died at age estimated to be 70 years on the 14th September, 1870 in Ballybay, Castleblayney, County Monaghan.

I would like to discover information about the lives in Ireland for Felix, Mary and Edward Morton.
