In birth registers for his children as Ferdinand. Married wife Ann (various spellings Anne and O'Neil/O'Neal) Had two children in Ireland (Scalpnagown?) Emigrated to New Zealand with his mother Mary (possibly nee Cummings) in 1862. (Name also given as Kaahin and Keenan on ship register.Transcription error or issue of literacy possibly. Followed by his wife Ann with the two children in 1864. HIs application to bring them to New Zealand gave their address as c/- Father Edward O'Shaugnessy, Crusheen. More children born in Auckland New Zealand.
