Francis and Margaret were grandparents of Sir Macpherson Robertson (Mac.Robertson,1859-1945), confectioner and philanthropist, who was born in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.
Mac.Robertson was the manufacturer of Old Gold chocolate, Cherry Ripe and Freddo Frogs. Mac.Robertson Chocolates was acquired by Cadbury in 1967 and Freddo Frogs are now available at the service station in Clones. Due to his support for the Antarctic voyages of Sir Douglas Mawson, a portion of Antarctica is known as Mac.Robertson Land. Due to his support for the game of Croquet, the winner of the world championship of croquet receives the Mac.Robertson shield.
