I think you are related to me, Francis Poland he was my great great great grandfather im related through Francis Polin/Pullin/Poland son Peter Poland
Francis Polin Married Elizabeth Jane McEvoy (Bapt. 26/4/1826) Dghtr. of Michael McEvoy and Jane McCullough of Derryleckagh Wood, on 31st May 1847, they had 4 Children, James 1848, Margaret 1852, Peter 1855 (my Grandfather) and Jane 1859, Godparents on their Baptism records are, Patrick Fitzpatrick, Cath McAteer, Michael McAteer Jane McEvoy, John Digney, Alice Polin , Luke Cullen and Cath Campbell, I have also reference to Owen Polin, We found Eliza moving to Liverpool where she appears on the 1871 census as a widow, with the two older children under the name of Poland, we also found Peter later working on the ships as a first mate when he eventually made his way to Australia, We have not been able to find Birth or Death records of Francis and have no Idea if he was originally from Newry either Armargh or Down, but I have made a connection to another Polin descendent in Australia that shares my DNA whose Gt Grandmother did Emigrate from Newry, but don't know how they were related, My Grandfather's Death certificate states that his father Francis was a Carpenter, but on his Sister's Death Certificate from the US it states he was a farmer.

Yes we are related, Peter was my Grandfather, I am a grandchild of his second marriage if you would like to contact me on mafair7@gmail.com, I have done some comprehensive research and am also a DNA match to the family in Queensland, I think with the timeline the ancestor would have been a sibling to Francis, I have also found more ships that Peter sailed on and when he arrived in Australia, there was also another brother after James, his name was Michael I have found his birth record but there is no evidence of him later so he may have died young, I still have a letter Peter's sister Margaret sent to my Grandmother Margaret Courtney (Poland) in 1930 even though I can't find Francis' birth or death records in the NLI parish registers the letter states that he died in May but gives no year, we were told that he was a farmer, I am happy to share any information I have on the family, and a lot I remember growing up, because the age gap between the last 2 generations is very big as my father was born when Peter was 50 and I was born when my father was in his late 40's.
