My GGrandfather Francis Kerr was baptized in Loughgilly RC Parish on Oct 14, 1833. Francis' parents were Edward Kerr (1809-1882, parents Michael Kerr and Ellen McNeely of Co. Armagh) and Sally Campbell. Francis was the oldest so his parents were probably married a year or two before he was born - can't find any records of their marriage. Francis had 3 sisters baptized in Loughgilly Parish; Roseanne on May 8,1836, Nelly on Nov 18,1838 and Marion on May 21, 1841.

In 1842 Francis and Roseanne and their parents Edward and Sally emmigrated to Canada and landed in Bathurst Township near Perth, Ontario on a farm owned at the time by Joseph and Anna Witzal. My family is still on that farm. Nelly and Marion were either left behind with freinds/relatives or perhaps died, I can't find any other records of them.

Edward had a sister Sarah (Sally) Kerr who married Thomas Irwin (Ervin, Erwin) on April 6, 1834 in Loughgilly Parish, witnesses were John Kerr and Michael Kerr. On March 12, 1837 Sarah Irwin was baptized in Loughgilly RC Parish, parents were Thomas Irwin and Sally Kerr. By 1861 Sally Irwin was a widow and living on the farm in Bathurst with her brother Edward and family and her 3 children Sarah, John (b1841, Scotland) and Catherine (b1843, Scotland).

Does any of this fit with your family trees? Please reach out.  Thank you, Pete Kerr.
