William Stephen Sullivan Morgan, eldest son of George Morgan and Melian Sullivan, was the last Morgan to occupy Old Abbey House in Shanagolden, Co Limerick.
He married Georgina, daughter. of Major Henry Ross-Lewin, of Ross Hill, Co. Clare
On his death in 1871 the lands passed to his daughter Frederica Louisa, who married 1877 John Charles Wardell, son of Major William Henry Wardell of Jersey.
Their son Prof John Henry Wardell was the last of the line in Old Abbey House. The professor died in 1957 and the house was subsequently demolished.
