Was married in 1847 in the Church of Ireland to Elzia Brereton. He had a son John, in 1849. They left Ireland by the way of Liverpool on the Tan O Shanter to New York. They left New York by the way of the canals landing in the Ohio valley. He fought in 1862-1866 in the War of the Rebellion where he caught consumption and died in 1870. He bore nine children : John, Robert, James, Gerge T, William, Eliza Jane, Susan, and Frances. n
