Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in UK
George Olliffe, the son of Robert Olliffe, a wool comber, and Lydia Maria Seymour of Brinny parish. George, a railway constabulary, married Thomasine Good of Brinny, in Brinny, daughter of Peter Good, on July 8th 1851. It seems his father Robert Olliffe may have passed away before the marriage. In the late 1840's and early 1850's Lydia Olliffe is shown as tenant in Kilpatrick (Brinny parish), where typically it is the husband that would be shown. Lydia, as well as George and other siblings of his, migrated to London, England some time near the end of or after the potato famine.
