My great grandmother Hanora Roache left Cork in 1886 for Boston at 17 years old.  The only record in Ireland that I can find is that she was baptised in St. Finnbars Parish in March 1868.  Does anyone know of any Roache's still living in Cork?  Her parents were James and Margaret (Dinan).  I would love to know more.  Thanks.

  • I too have a honora Roache from Cork but she was born about 1811 in Doneraile or Buttevant Cork as she was married there to Thomas Crone in 1833. I believe her father maybe was either Thomas or Richard the Doneraile papers have lists of who lived in Buttevant  and Donerailer cork In one survey of who her parent may have been I found Dinans married into the Roache families quite often She was from the Peerage so she may have been well conencted also Sorry I cant help more best wishes in your search Jen
