Honora Sexton 1845 : Short Biography

I have a relative Mary Sexton who was born in County Clare in abt 1821 (possibly baptised in the Diocese of Killaloe in 1848) . She married Michael Hassett and went to Australia in 1854 with their daughter Hanora. Possibly linked to Hanora ??

Honora Sexton was the witness at my great grandmother's wedding in Bendigo. She would have been born around 1845 around Lisseycasey and her parents were Patrick Sexton and Cath Galvin.

Patrick Sexton is buried in the Ballynacally graveyard Kilchreest and died at 65 in 1869.

I came across an Alice Sexton from Tipperary on this site who emigrated to Australia  with her sister Honora.

Hi Michael,

I appreciate your communication, you provide some interesting facts. Harnora definately looks like she was born in around 1845 in County Clare.

I would like to verify some of my research with what you may be able to point me to. As an example I have my 2nd Great Grand Parents Michael Hassett, his wife Mary Sexton and daughters Bridget and Hanora arriving in Geelong, Victoria in 1854. Anyhow I will try finding your facebook link and perhaps we can talk directly.
