Hugh is my 2nd great grandfather. I visited the Altinure Townland last summer where Hugh’s father , Patrick, also lived. neighbors Philip Gillice and his wife Bridget (Magauveran/ McGovern) had a daughter named Rose who married Hugh. Therefore Patrick (Margaret Gillan). Philip and Bridget were all my 3rd great grandparents. I met Ita Maguire ((married to Frank Maguire, recently deceased). She is the last Maguire in Altinure. She graciously spoke with us and showed us the piece of land that was the location of Patrick’s house. My grandfather, father and brother are also named Hugh.
